Composition of small wind turbines: Small wind turbines are generally composed of the following parts: wind turbines, generators, speed and direction adjustment mechanisms, parking mechanisms, towers and cables, controllers, batteries, inverters, etc.
(1) Wind wheel: The wind wheel of small wind turbines is mostly composed of 2~3 blades, which is a component that converts wind energy into mechanical energy. There are two main materials for wind turbine blades. One is the FRP material, which is generally pasted by hand in the model with glass wire cloth and prepared epoxy resin, and some filling materials are added to the inner cavity, and the manual paste is suitable for blades of different shapes and variable cross-sections, but the handmade is labor-intensive and time-consuming, and the product quality is not easy to control. Foreign small fans also adopt mechanized production of equal-section blades, which greatly improves the efficiency and product quality of blade production.
(2) Generator: Small wind turbines generally use permanent magnet alternators, and the alternating current generated by the wind turbine drive generator is converted into direct current that can be stored in the battery after rectification.
(3) Steering mechanism, speed regulating mechanism and parking mechanism: In order to obtain energy from the wind, the rotating surface of the wind wheel should be perpendicular to the wind direction, and in small fans, this function is realized by the tail wing of the wind turbine as a steering mechanism. At the same time, with the increase of wind speed, it is necessary to limit the speed of the wind turbine, because on the one hand, too fast speed will cause damage to the wind turbine and other parts of the wind turbine, and on the other hand, the power output of the generator needs to be limited to a certain range. Because the structure of the small wind turbine is relatively simple, the impeller side deviation speed regulation mode is generally adopted, and this speed regulating mechanism is easy to cause the swing of the wind wheel and the tail when the wind speed and wind direction change to be large, thereby causing the vibration of the wind turbine. Therefore, when the wind speed is large, especially when the battery is already full, the wind turbine should be manually controlled to stop. In some small wind turbines, a manual braking mechanism is designed, and in addition, the side deviation stop mode can be adopted in practice, that is, a soft rope is fixed on the tail fin, and when it is necessary to stop, the tail wing is pulled, so that the wind wheel is sideways to the wind direction, so as to achieve the purpose of stopping.
